Kurzbiographie Vita

Saskia M. Tielens ist seit Herbst 2011 Doktorandin im Graduiertenprogramm Transnational/Transatlantic American Studies am RuhrCenter of American Studies. Sie hat Amerikanistik an der  Radboud Universität Nimwegen und an der University of California in Berkeley studiert. Ihren Master schloss Saskia Tielens 2010 mit der Arbeit “The Jewish Experience: Representations of the Jewish Male in 20th and 21st Century American Literature" ab. Sie unterrichtet Kurse zu Religion und Kultur und ihre Dissertation beschäftigt sich mit der Geschichte und Kultur der Mormonen.

Saskia M. Tielens joined the American Studies section in fall 2011 as a PhD candidate in the graduate program Transnational/Transatlantic American Studies at the RuhrCenter of American Studies. She studied American Studies at the Radboud University Nijmegen and the University of California at Berkeley. She graduated with an M.A. in 2010 with a thesis titled, “The Jewish Experience: Representations of the Jewish Male in 20th and 21st Century American Literature.” She teaches courses on religion and culture and her dissertation focuses on Mormon culture and history.
