Kurzbiographie / Vita

Rachel Lindner has worked as a TESOL teacher and teacher trainer in further and higher education in Germany for many years with a focus on teaching English for specific and occupational purposes, intercultural education and educational technology. She currently coordinates and teaches English for International Business Studies at the University of Paderborn. Before taking up this post, she worked at the language centre of Munich University (2002-2011), where she developed and taught blended and distance learning courses for academic and specific purposes, including intercultural education through telecollaborative exchanges with Manchester and Ljubljana Universities. Prior to this, Rachel taught English language to Philologists, Business and Economics and Law students at the University of Augsburg (1994-2002). Rachel is a member of the development team of the Council of Europe's Autobiography of Intercultural Encounters (AIE), training pre- and in-service teachers, teacher trainers and youth work facilitators in intercultual education and the curricular implementation of the AIE.
